The story of Powhatan began with a gift. The grounds upon which our school now resides was donated in 1957 by Isabelle Carter Crocker, daughter of the last resident of the Clarke County property known as “Powhatan”.
Powhatan School is a reflection of the pride, commitment, and generosity of its faculty, parents, students, alumni, and parents of alumni. The fiscal responsibility of our predecessors has created a school with superior facilities and little debt. Our benefactors have established a tradition that we honor today by continuing to contribute in order to create a better Powhatan for the future.
Educating children is a highly collaborative effort. Every year, Powhatan alumni, parents, and friends join the faculty, administrators, and staff to create exciting opportunities for the academic and personal growth for our students. We invite you to participate in this effort by offering gifts of time and financial support, maximizing the Powhatan experience for all of our students.
We thank you in advance for your generosity and support of Powhatan School.
