Direct Donation

Monetary gifts using cash, check, or credit card have an immediate impact on Powhatan School and our programs.

Gifts of Securities

Gifts of appreciated securities offer advantages to donors. By contributing appreciated securities, which have been held for more than one year, you receive two tax benefits. First, you avoid the capital gains tax on the appreciated value. Second, you qualify for an income tax charitable deduction based on the fair market value of your securities on the date that you make the gift.

Planned Gift

A little financial planning can go along way in securing Powhatan’s future as well as your own.

Matching Gifts

Matching gift companies may double or triple your gift to Powhatan. Please check to see if your company has a matching gift program. They will provide you with a form to send in with your gift.
