Nature-Enhanced Approach to Learning

The Nature-Enhanced Approach to Learning (NEAL) program at Powhatan is designed to integrate the values of nature across the curriculum and in all aspects of our daily lives. It recognizes that nature is not just studied in science but also in the other disciplines. It brings the outdoors in and the indoors out by exploring the rich natural environment of our campus and adjoining properties. At Powhatan, we hope to inspire a bond with nature, rendering our students life-long active environmentalists.
